Francis Ford Coppola Winery 2017 Pool Season

[ad name=”320×100″]

Francis Ford Coppola has certainly created a family vacation hot spot at his winery in Geyserville.

While mom and dad can relax with some pool-side wine tastings, kids of all ages can enjoy the 3600-square-foot pool, expansive surrounding deck and nearby bocce ball courts. Great food and wine, coupled with the great outdoors, are a perfect pairing for a family vacation in Wine Country!

The 2017 pool season at the winery will officially open in the Spring (typically early-April), and the pool and its popular cabine (Italian for “cabana” and pronounced “ka–been”) rentals program typically operate from 11am to 6pm on weekends only (Friday through Sunday) for the first part of the season. Then, probably beginning in late-May and lasting through late-September, the winery park should be open from 11am to 6pm, daily, as has been the case in years past.

We knew the Cabine Package at this “wine wonderland” was popular, but we are always surprised to learn how early summer weekends (Friday through Sunday, June through August) get completely booked for the season. If visiting the pool at this winery is on your vacation must-do list – and if you have children, it probably is and should be – you should make reservations ASAP.

As you might imagine, the Francis Ford Coppola winery makes a great day-trip or weekend getaway from San Francisco and other Bay Area cities. As you can see from the map below, Geyserville is north of Healdsburg in Sonoma County, about an hour-and-a-half drive from San Francisco.

On the other hand, it’s not hard to fill a week’s vacation without leaving Sonoma County, especially if you include a trip to the Sonoma Coast in your itinerary.

California… so many choices… how much time do you have?
